Steve Blunt (Solo): An upbeat sing-along show that builds community–with music! Steve presents a kid-friendly mix of songs with positive messages & all-around fun–featuring award-winning original tunes and a special selection for summer reading 2017, “Building a Better World” (with ASL signing; words & music by Ellen Allard–used by permission). With humor and lots of audience participation–including movement for the little ones–this performance brings together library patrons of all ages & backgrounds, as families sing, clap & laugh along to the music. Steve Blunt & Marty Kelley (Duo): What’s so funny ‘bout peace, love & understanding? Two veteran performers present original songs & stories for the whole family–with positive messages & lots of laughs. Steve & Marty play “Building a Better World” and other tunes on a variety of musical instruments. And Marty reads a few of his books aloud with projected illustrations! With humor and lots of audience participation, this summer reading show connects library patrons of all ages & backgrounds, as families sing, read & laugh together. (Cost $450*)


Steve Blunt & FriSMJN copyends (Children’s Music Band): Rockin’ kids’ music for the whole family! Steve Blunt & Friends deliver a library show with catchy tunes and lively rhythms for singing & dancing. The program features award-winning children’s music by Steve Blunt and a special song for summer reading 2017, “Building a Better World.” Band members are: author/illustrator, Marty Kelley, on drums & harmonica; Berklee grad, Joe Pierog, on bass; and Noelle Boc, the singing librarian, on tambourine & ukulele. Library patrons of all ages and backgrounds come together as families sing, dance & laugh along to the music! (Cost $600*)
